Customized Private Sessions
Private yoga sessions are valuable for all students who sense a need
for a student-centered approach to learning yoga and has special value for
certain groups and individuals with specific physical or emotional health
conditions who can benefit from an approach designed specific to those
needs. Private lessons can also benefit those who have a yoga practice and wish
to deepen their current practice or investigate more fully any aspect of yoga
such as self inquiry, pranayama, imagery, meditation, etc. Tailor made
appointments generally take place at the offices of Generations Physical Therapy
134 Middle Street Lowell. Appointments are made directly with Laura Marie 978
251-1001. In some cases, arrangements can be made to have class at your
location as well.
FEES
Private Customized Individual Appointment $75 1 hour.$108 for 1 1/2 hours It is recommended that sessions are 1 1/2 hours. Additionally includes initial phone consultation and ayurvedic or overall wellness evaluation. Unsure if this is for you? Free phone consultations are available. $30 cancellation fee charged for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hour notice.

Group Session $130 per 1 hour.
Friends, corporate groups, or groups with specific health conditions can book
and have classes designed specifically for them. In some cases a travel

This is a
therapeutic class for students who want to receive the benefits of reducing
stress and enhancing physical and emotional wellness that a regular yoga
practice can offer; but have the need to approach the practices in a more gentle
way. Whether you have specific physical or emotional challenges, would prefer a
slower and more gentle practice, or just want the opportunity to slow down and
relax, you will benefit from this class. The emphasis of this class will be on
an introduction to yoga philosophy and how it may enrich our modern lives;
becoming more aware of our bodies and habitual patterns of holding; breathing
practices to cultivate deep relaxation, slow, mindful movements to open and
lubricate joints, help release muscular tension and increase ranges of motion.
Additionally we will work on slowing down busy minds and replace negative
thinking patterns will a more positive outlook. There will also be group
discussion time. It is recommended that practitioners be able to get up and
down from the floor; however it is possible to accommodate people who may need
to stay seated in a chair. If you are unsure about your condition, please
discuss it with the teacher, Laura Marie before beginning class. Please bring a
yoga mat to class.

Laura combines the compassion of Kripalu Yoga with
the multi dimensional practice of Integrative Yoga Therapy to bring this class
to experienced students who are already comfortable safely working with basic
postures and yogic breathing practices. In addition to continuing to work with
these basic practices, you will have the opportunity to explore intention,
meditation, mudra, visualization, bhanda, mantra and some yoga philosophy and
relaxation. The intention of this class is to guide students towards experience
and integration of all five koshas or bodies (physical, energetic, emotional,
mental, spiritual). Please bring a mat to class and props that you use

Beginners Yoga Basics - Session I is FULL

This class is for people who are either new to yoga, or like to work with a high level of instruction offered in a compassionate manner. This class will focus on basic yoga philosophy, alignment details for basic postures, basic breathing practices and introductory experiences into meditation and relaxation. Yoga works from the inside out....helping to calm the mind, relax the body and gain insight and understanding into our own true nature. This class is made to be accessible to everybody; however if you have serious health or emotional issue, you may wish to speak to the instructor beforehand in order to decide which class may best suit your needs. Please arrive a few minutes before class time and bring a yoga sticky mat with you. Wear comfortable clothing for movement and avoid eating heavily 2 hours beforehand.
Total Relaxation (Yoga
Nidra)

Come and join Laura Marie for this
practice of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep. The term is used
generally for many forms of deep relaxation. The period of rest in shivasana at
the end of a hatha yoga class is often referred to as yoga nidra; however, yoga
nidra also refers to a specific, multi-step practice for integration of the
mind, body and spirit. This practice is a complete system of integration all of
its own. The practice presented in this workshop is drawn on from the teachings
of Integrative Yoga Therapy which uses the yoga nidra model with a specific
focus on health and healing. The yogis say that 20 minutes of yoga nidra is
like getting 3 hours of sleep.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity for some simple, gentle stretching, to set your own “sankalpa” or wish for desired effect of the practice, and practice yoga nidra. We will be lying in a resting position of stillness during yoga nidra, so please wear comfortable clothing—nothing that binds or pinches, bring a pillow and blanket(s) We will be working on a hardwood floor, so it is useful to bring some kind of mat or sleeping bag to lie on. No experience needed. Clients report feeling completely relaxed and well rested after a session. Please that if you are dealing with serious psychological or emotional issues, it is best to check with your psychotherapist/psychiatrist before participating.
Vinyasa Flow Class

This fun, flowing 90 minute class combines postures and sequences from the
Kripalu style of yoga to give your body the breathwork and movement it needs.
Dynamic flowing sequence of postures linking breath
and movement, cultivate awareness while building core strength and
flexibility.We'll also be working into poses and longer holdings with vinyasa
between them. This class is challenging and deeply profound in the
after-effects. For practitioners with at least 6 months of regular practice at
the moderate level. Knowledge of postures, breathing techniques, safe alignments
and what works for your body is very important.
An Evening of Candlelight Gentle Kripalu Yoga

This will be a relaxing and contemplative practice with deep stretches,
breathwork, and meditation.
This class is designed to enhance your flexibility, balance, and improve state
of mind with a blissful 90 minutes of Kripalu Yoga and is suitable for students
just get started in yoga and also for more experienced practitioners at times of
high stress and low energy or for those who just want to relax.

Daily yoga, meditation and special workshops on reconnecting to our feminine
power through reconnecting to Goddess and Earth Energy. Note, the workshop
part of the day is for Women only; however, men are welcomed to all other
classes and children are welcomed at Concordia. Yoga pavillion and most
housing overlooks the ocean. Built in pool, grills, convenience store and
snokeling gear rental all on site. 15 minute walk through a nature trail
to the beach.
